Operative dentistry foundations: clinical skills suite induction, reasons for restoring teeth, operative positioning, minimally invasive and conventional approaches to occlusal caries, management of proximal lesions, anterior tooth tissue loss, toothache 1 and 2, deep carious lesions, posterior composites, porcelain veneers, and the planning, provision, temporisation and impression-taking for indirect restorations.

Year 2 Oral Surgery at the University of Birmingham. Foundations: local anaesthetic anatomy and neurophysiology, pharmacology, equipment and techniques, precautions and emergencies. Plus introduction to oral surgery, principles of tooth extraction and minor oral surgery, biomaterials, endocarditis/anticoagulants/MRONJ considerations, acute oro-facial infections, and analgesics and antibiotics.

Year 2 Periodontology at the University of Birmingham.
